Graduation project Alexander Wang

One Cartlon, 8300, Knokke Zoute

For my graduation project, ten students were asked to house a design brand of their choice in the existing building: One Cartlon in Knokke Zoute.

I chose the designer Alexander Wang. The designer himself translates the spirit of this generation into high-end fashion. Improving clothes without categorizing them is his mission.

The concept is inspired on the one hand by a collaboration between Haydenshapes and Alexander Wang, which brought about aesthetic surfboards with a marble look. On the other hand, I got my inspiration from the location of the building, namely the sea dyke.

A wave that rages through the entire store, in which mannequins move via a rail system. In the basement one can also observe the wave from the first floor. As an extra, the wave lighting is provided that breaks through the massive, the lighting can be adjusted in color and also serves as night lighting.

The materialization is very clean, sober and pure. The materials offer a luxurious feel without demanding too much attention
